Artist Spotlight: Gary Mylek, Windsor, VT

This Week at the Shop – Within our Claremont, NH shop, we are very pleased to offer for sale the work of several local artists like Gary Mylek, of Windsor, VT. Gary has lived his commitment to his art over many years, earning the respect of artists and collectors nationwide for his intimate and detailed landscapes in egg tempera, including the use of gold leaf, and watercolors of rural New England. Even as a child, Gary knew that he wanted to be a professional artist. His years of study at home and abroad landed a start in New York City painting abstracts with oils. But born into a farming family in CT, Gary soon returned to nature, relocating to Vermont. From his Vermont studio, Gary chooses egg tempera, watercolor, and gold leaf as the mediums to depict his love for rural Vermont, and New England. In our shop, prints and original art are available for sale. Featured here are lovely examples of Gary’s work, beautifully displayed in framework that blends perfectly with Gary’s compositions of Vermont’s rural countryside. As with all of our work, each is expertly mounted and fitted using archival materials for many years of protection, and enjoyment.
