Our attention turned back to oil painting cleaning and restoration this week. One of our projects, an early 20th century oil on canvas, is featured in our post. The work arrived with yellowing, grime, and missing paint. Through several rounds of cleaning, relining, and retouching, the canvas was stabilized and the color was brought back toward its original beauty. The work was completed with a beautiful finished-corner antiqued gold frame suitable for the period, and is sure to be enjoyed for another generation of art lovers.

Also featured this week are two hand-painted oil-painting reproductions inspired by Van Gogh originals.
